Agricultural Contractor based near Frome, Somerset
We offer a range of services specializing in; crop spraying, all forms of slurry application - FYM spreading, slurry tanking and umbilical work with the hire of a nurse tank. Ploughing, drilling and other forms of cultivation plus hedge cutting and groundworks. We also provide straw and forage harvest operations, baling both square and round bales. Not only do we offer contract baling but we also bale our own straw and forage which we then buy and sell throughout the year. We also partake in silage making with another farmer/contractor who runs the forager, rake, and trailers whilst we carry out the pit work and supply any additional tractors and trailers.
ABOUT US
A J Luke Contracting Ltd. has been operating since 2005 serving a range of farming enterprises across the Somerset and Wiltshire borders. We started with just one tractor & man, now 15 years later the business has gone from strength to strength where we now have built up to a fleet of 4 tractors, one self-propelled sprayer and two diggers with 5 full time members of staff and 2 part time members with multiple extra ‘owner drivers’ when necessary. A J Luke Contracting is very much a family run business with Ashley at the helm managing the machinery aspects and Chelsea, who heads up the office duties.
OUR FLEET
We operate a selection of agricultural machinery and vehicles on a range of services across Somerset and Wiltshire. Our fleet of modern and efficient New Holland tractors are capable of performing a variety of different operations for our varied customers. In addition to our tractors we utilise a self propelled sprayer and a range of different farm machinery to suit the size of operation required.
